We can provide USB sticks from stock at extra cost, or you can provide your own - we can confirm the exact storage space required after the digital conversion is complete.
As a guide assume a 1GB storage space for every hour of video footage.
A 3 hour tape needs approximately 3 GB of USB storage capacity.

Most people may not be aware that videotapes have a very limited lifespan of 10 to 20 years, depending on the conditions in which they are stored and used. We have seen many tapes with mold and mildew on them!

DO YOU HAVE MOLDY TAPES?
We can usually clean your Moldy VHS Video Tapes and rescue the footage onto video files with good results - the cost is a FLAT RATE $20 per tape including FREE cleaning for light mold infestation. For very heavy mold infestation we may charge an additional $5 or $10 depending on the severity of the infestation. Once the tape is cleaned, we can create a mp4 Vide File for USB or DVD at additional cost as outlined above.

Our standard BUDGET Video to DVD Service gives you a direct transfer of ALL the video tape Contents from beginning to end onto a USB or DVD with NO editing. This means that any gaps or static and other footage is also converted. Use this option if you want us to do specific editing and provide a menu with scene titles, as a next step later on. (You can view this Budget USB or DVD footage and advise your specific editing instructions and 'in' and 'out' edit points in minutes and seconds from your DVD display. We can then provide a fully edited Master USB or DVD with Menu and Scene Titles which will be billed at our standard hourly based on the time spent on your project).

DELIVERY TIME:
The standard turnaround time is 2-10 working days (depending on workload).
If you have an urgent job, we can usually process the order quicker for a small $5 to $10 charge.

GST is NOT collected, since we are not currently GST registered.

Note that some video tapes may not be suitable for conversion due to tape damage, mould damage, copyright protection, and the quality of the finished Digital footage depend on the original videotape quality.
